The University of Notre Dame is next to South Bend, Indiana. It is in northern Indiana, half-way between the Illinois and Ohio borders, and just 5 miles south of the Michigan border.

If you are driving, take Interstate 80/90 (Indiana Toll Road) and take Exit 77. That will take you right to Notre Dame.

If you are flying into South Bend, the area is served by the South Bend Regional Airport (code: SBN), which is only about 20 minutes from campus. A cab fare is about $7-10.

If you are flying into Chicago (either O'Hare or Midway airports), you can take the Coach USA bus (formerly United Limo), which takes you directly to Notre Dame. The ride is three hours and costs about $30 one-way, $57 round-trip.
